In part 2 of the metabolizing cellular architectures series, Chris Price, Head of the Developer Ecosystem at Momento, re-emphasizes that cellular architect is used as a method to minimize the impact of failures by isolating different deployments, or “cells”, of an application.
Chris also explains how to automate deployments across multiple cells, standardize the deployment lifecycle, and manage permissions for both inbound and outbound access. The use of modern infrastructure as code tools allow for more flexible, reusable and less error-prone deployment processes.
The talk concludes with highlighting the benefits of cellular architecture in improving customer experience by reducing the impact of outages and increasing engineering agility.
