NAB Main Stage: There are several main stage sessions you won’t want to miss

  • Love him or not, Stephen A. Smith is a dynamic speaker and renowned sports and media personality. He will highlight his career and perspectives on sports broadcasting and content creation. Monday, April 7, 10-11:30AM, at the NAB Show Welcome Session, on the NAB Main Stage. 
  • Known for writing and producing “Blade” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy David Goyer will be exploring new formats of collaborative storytelling bridging the gap between traditional entertainment and AI-powered platform invention. Sunday, April 6, 10-11AM, at W217-W218. 
  • The WWE continues to push the entertainment boundaries exploring new ways to reach and expand their audience. Nick Khan, president of WWE and Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Chief Content Officer will discuss the company’s business strategy and thoughts on content innovation. Wednesday, April 9, 10:30-11:30AM, on the NAB Main Stage.

Streaming Summit: This event within an event is an additional cost but has a lot of great sessions including

  • FOX was able to deliver unprecedented scale, low latency, and exceptional quality for SuperBowl LIX. Mayur Srinivasan from FOX will talk through the strategies, technical execution, and meticulous preparedness that made the event a flawless viewing experience. He’ll share key lessons on scaling efficiently, mitigating potential risks, and how real-time monitoring played a critical role in the success of the event. Monday, April 7, 2:45-3:45PM at W106-W107: “Super Bowl LIX Streaming Insights: How FOX Delivered Unprecedented Scale, Low Latency, and Exceptional Quality”
  • Learn how Warner Brothers Discovery maximizes their streaming quality through embedded quality of experience data. Featuring Connie Huang, learn how they have maximized cache efficiency to ensure high-quality streaming. Monday, April 7, 2:45-3:15PM at W108-W109: “How To Maximize Streaming Quality Through Embedded Caching”
  • Cloud-based video stacks are at the heart of today’s streaming services, powering everything from content ingestion to playback. Jenny Hua from Warner Brothers Discovery along with a panel from NBCUniversal, Wowza, and Sinclair will talk through strategies for architecting scalable cloud video stacks for FAST, Live, and SVOD workflows. Monday, April 7, 1:30-2:30 at W106-W107: “Strategies for Architecting Scalable Cloud Video Stacks for FAST, Live and SVOD” 
  • Live sports streaming has evolved dramatically over the last five years and the panelists in this session will talk through how the audience expectations have also risen dramatically. Moderated by Victoria Tuzova (Elecard) with a panel including Steven Woodard (Warner Brothers Discovery), Derik Yarnell (Comcast), Steven Jalicy (ESL FACEIT GROUP), and Valeria Sosa (Netflix). Tuesday, April 8, 2:45-3:45 at W106-W107: “Live Sports Streaming Workflows: Real-Time Use Cases and Latest Technology Deployments” 

AI in Focus: AI will continue to be a major talking point and the key point will be to figure out what is real, what is useful, and what will improve your business. AI solutions are expected across a wide variety of applications from content creation and personalization to workflow automation and audience analysis across the entire show floor but especially in the AI Innovation Pavillion and at the Creator Lab.

  • The AWS theater (W1343) has several AI based sessions designed to help improve advertising relevance (Bitmovin, Sunday, 2:45-3:15), improve content relevance for users (Coactive AI, Monday, 10-10:30) and AI-driven recommendations (NHL & Presido, Monday, 12:15-12:45)   
  • Talk through the relationship between AI and media production with Andy Beach (Alchemy Creations) and Doug Dalton (Evergreen Media) on Monday, April 7, 2:45-3:30 at W2631 “SMPTE Presents: AI as Ally — Enhancing Human Creativity in Media Production”
  • The Creator Lab has several sessions that should be worthwhile to attend with great thinkers leading the conversations.
    • Explore ways AI is being used to analyze hours of raw unscripted footage to find hidden gems, edit rough cuts and keep the focus on storytelling instead of tedious tasks moderated by Irad Eyal (Quickture) with Kate Cook (Era Seven Partners), Matt Hanna (Quickture), and Renard T. Jenkins (I2A2 Technologies) on Sunday, April 6, 10:30-11:15 at SL9823 Creator Lab Theater B: “Ask Me Anything: AI in Unscripted Post Production”
    • A candid discussion on how AI commoditization is reshaping the medi industry and how to stay ahead moderated by Andy Beach (Alchemy Creations) and featuring Renard T Jenkins (I2A2 Technologies) and Kathleen Grace (Vermillio) on Sunday, April 6, 2:50-3:35 at SL9823 Creator Lab Theater B: “DeepSeek and the New Reality: Progress or Pandora’s Box”
    • Learn how others are using AI tools for content creation, task automation, and enhancing storytelling moderated by Renee Teeley (UP) and featuring Logan Lawler (Dell), Gabe Michael (Edelman), and Todd Terrazas (FBRC.ai) on Monday, April 7, 3:30-4:00 at SL9823 Creator Lab Theater A: “AI as Your Creative Partner”
